As our Community Project Officer, you’ll be at the heart of the Grange Collective, shaping projects that empower Acis tenants, energise local groups, and bring fresh opportunities to life. Whether you’re out on the streets engaging with residents, building partnerships with organisations, or ensuring our hubs are buzzing with activity, you’ll be the driving force behind community‑led solutions that make a lasting difference. This is your chance to champion local voices, grow meaningful connections, and guide people through a support journey that truly transforms their lives.

THIS IS A FIXED TERM ROLE UNTIL 1ST APRIL 2027

As an Community Project Officer, a typical day might include:

1. You will be leading on projects working with Acis tenants, understanding how we can support themselves further.
2. The project will be fundamental in the Grange Collective in Market Rasen, overseeing all aspects of what is run between all sites, ensuring our offering is engaging and supports the community.
3. Running community engagement activity (involving local residents and stakeholders) to identify local challenges, opportunities and solutions.
4. Engaging with the local people and groups understanding services they would like us to offer in Market Rasen
5. Working with local groups, organisations, partners including universities and support services and internal teams to identify and recruit new people to our services.
6. Engage at a street-based level with local community members to identify local need.
7. Develop community-led solutions to identified need.
8. Support existing community organisations/groups and partners to develop new opportunities.
9. Identify and coordinate new routes to market likely to lead to increased engagement and participant numbers.
10. Proactively promote and market our services to ensure people know what we offer, how they can sign up and what they can expect, including management of hub based social channels and local marketing initiatives.
11. Provide a clear overview of support needs as part of our warm handover to our wider teams for their continued support.
12. Owning the customer support journey for your area, working with customers on an individual and group basis, assessing their skills, barriers and challenges and supporting them to produce a personalised action plan
13. Ensuring the hub is buzzing with activity – leading the customer service excellence on site through hub site management, general site-based administration and preparation for activities every day.
14. Ensuring site cover is in place at all times of opening.
15. Following up on enquiries, checking in to ensure satisfaction, and supporting when it is not achieved.
16. Following up with all participants after attendance, discussing next steps and booking into their next part of their journey.
17. Working as part of the wider engagement team to ensure cover at events, all hubs and activities as required.
18. Building relationships with a wide range of other local support services to ensure we can offer a full and holistic package of support, meeting all participant and contract needs.

The must haves:

19. General awareness of health and safety and building management
20. Are comfortable with, and can engage with people both 1-2-1 and in groups
21. Strong communicator with excellent customer service experience and skills
22. Ability to work as a team, under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
23. A good understanding of the barriers faced by people, and the solutions that may be able to benefit them
24. Ability to work collaboratively with others, whether in the same team or external support providers
25. Good IT skills, with an eye for detail that’s second to none.
26. You’re a positive, energised and enthusiastic person, with a real zest for helping others
27. Engaging and supporting people is what gets you up every day

30. Qualification in Mentoring, Advice and Guidance or similar, or a mental health qualification
31. MHFA qualified
32. First Aid Trained
33. Ability to deal with challenging behaviour at times
34. An understanding of the different local services available for customers
35. You’re interested in supporting the wider team with our wellbeing activities, learning opportunities or employment support – and have some skills to offer in this area
36. You’ll be adept at change, having got hands-on experience living and breathing new ways of working and knowing how to bring your colleagues along for the experience.
