Sales Associate, Sports Medicine – North West England & North Wales
Join Stryker as a Sales Associate in our Sports Medicine Sales team covering Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Shropshire & North Wales UK.
In this role you will develop and foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders, support customer education in the field, and pursue business opportunities to grow Strykers business in targeted accounts while consistently delivering exemplary customer service and patient focus.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop the skills required to become an effective sales representative.
* Learn and practice techniques to grow the volume of a defined territory through sales of Stryker Sports Medicine products.
* Manage business in accounts within an existing sales territory and be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of key accounts.
* Become proficient in handling stock issues, instrument requirements, organizing loan kits, and conducting regular customer training; provide guidance on the safe use of Stryker products in hospital and operating theatre environments.
* Support other sales managers to allow them to focus on new business acquisition and new account development.
* Implement training sessions and workshops on the use of Stryker products for nurses, theatre practitioners and surgeons.
* Identify customer needs and opportunities to promote and sell Stryker products; learn basic selling, presenting and negotiation techniques.
* Manage consignment or loan service channels to best suit customer needs.
* Provide outstanding customer service to an existing customer base within theatre and clinical environments; build relationships with key personnel in hospitals.
* Ensure product recommendations are appropriate and centred on patient care.
* Coordinate with the Regional Business Manager to maintain best‑in‑class customer service levels.
* Conduct product trials and evaluations in theatre and clinical environments.
* Record customer details and maintain a basic business plan outlining daily, weekly and monthly objectives; prioritise time and resources to grow business.
Qualifications
* BSc in Life Sciences, Business or equivalent work experience.
* A driven attitude, people focus and accountability.
* Confidence delivering presentations.
* An interest in anatomy and physiology.
* High achiever who loves to learn and take on challenges.
* Background demonstrating ability to engage with others, influence, motivate and work hard.
* A full, clean driving licence.
