Civil & Commercial Litigation Solicitor — Position Overview: You will manage a varied caseload of civil and commercial disputes, advising clients from initial instruction through to resolution. The role offers exposure to high-quality contentious work, opportunities to support junior team members, and the chance to contribute to business development within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Civil & Commercial Litigation Solicitor:
• Managing a varied caseload of civil and commercial disputes • Handling client work from initial instruction to resolution, including court proceedings and advocacy where appropriate • Delivering clear, practical advice to clients in writing, over the phone and in meetings • Building and maintaining strong client relationships • Developing new business through marketing, networking and internal cross referrals • Adhering to compliance policies, procedures and risk management requirements • Supporting and mentoring junior team members • Participating in CPD, webinars, podcasts and other marketing initiatives • Representing the firm at charity, community and networking events
Requirements of the Civil & Commercial Litigation Solicitor:
• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 4+ PQE in Dispute Resolution • Broad experience across civil and commercial disputes • Commercial litigation and/or insolvency litigation knowledge desirable but not essential • Confidence managing a busy and varied caseload • Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Self-motivated and proactive approach • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Strong organisational skills, efficiency, reliability and flexibility • Knowledge of Lexcel requirements desirable but not essential
