The Role: Inspiring Learners in Impington
We are collaborating with an exceptional school in Impington to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This is a crucial, student-focused role for an individual who can provide expert academic coaching and pastoral encouragement. Key Responsibilities and Impact
* Deliver targeted academic support to individuals or small groups, helping to consolidate learning and address specific knowledge gaps.
* Collaborate closely with teaching colleagues to ensure all classroom activities and materials are differentiated and accessible to every pupil.
* Act as a positive behavioural mentor, helping students to manage their emotions, resolve conflicts constructively, and maintain high standards of conduct.
* Monitor and evaluate student engagement and progress, providing crucial feedback that informs ongoing support strategies.
* Assist students in developing effective organisational and independent learning skills, preparing them for greater autonomy.
Candidate Essentials
* Relevant experience in a coaching, mentoring, or support capacity within a school or youth setting is a strong requirement.
* A naturally enthusiastic, reliable, and empathetic demeanour.
* The proven capacity to quickly establish strong, professional, and motivational relationships with young people.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
* A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or the willingness to undergo a new check immediately).
