We are seeking highly motivated and empathetic individuals to join our team as Youth Justice Workers. In this role, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families or carers to provide practical support and guidance, helping them overcome complex issues and build better futures.
As a Youth Justice Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and safety of children while providing day-to-day support in a custodial setting. You will work collaboratively with other professionals and organisations to collectively improve outcomes for young people.
This role requires strong communication and influencing skills, a commitment to high standards of care and service, effective decision-making abilities, and empathy and understanding. You will be assessed on your numerical, written English and spoken English abilities.
Comprehensive training and development will equip you with the knowledge to understand the diverse backgrounds and individual circumstances of young people in custody. You will learn about evidence-based approaches to inform your practice, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive.

To succeed in this role, you must be able to pass a medical and fitness assessment, meet the required eyesight standard, and possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Regular supervision will be provided to help you reflect on and improve your practice.
The job requires a DBS check, and you must be able to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English. Training and development will be provided to enhance specialist skills such as child protection and safeguarding.
