My client a well known manufacturing business based in West Yorkshire are looking to recruit a proactive Maintenance Technician to join a dynamic engineering team. This role is ideally suited to a hands-on professional with a strong mechanical background and a proven track record in both planned and reactive maintenance environments. Key Responsibilities: Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, and implement effective repairs to minimise downtime. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities in line with schedules and operational requirements. Work extensively with mechanical systems including hydraulics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, and drive systems. Perform root cause analysis on recurring faults and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of machinery and equipment where required. Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health & safety standards at all times. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimise machine performance and reliability. Key Requirements: Proven experience working in a maintenance role within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong expertise in hydraulics, gears, bearings, and general mechanical systems. Demonstrated experience in both reactive (breakdown) and planned maintenance strategies. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Flexible approach with a willingness to support shift patterns or on-call requirements if needed. Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) is preferred. Basic electrical knowledge or multi-skilled capability. Click apply now for more information
