GSL Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join vibrant and welcoming schools in Nottingham from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity to help shape the educational journey of young children at a critical stage in their development.
Role Overview:
As an EYFS TA, you will work alongside class teachers to provide a stimulating, inclusive, and supportive environment for children in Nursery or Reception. You’ll assist in delivering the EYFS curriculum through play-based learning and structured activities.
Responsibilities as an EYFS Teaching Assistant:
* Support children's learning through structured and play-based activities.
* Encourage language, social, and motor skills development.
* Provide one-to-one or group support tailored to individual pupil needs.
* Assist with classroom routines, behaviour management, and transitions.
* Help maintain accurate observations and contribute to pupil progress tracking.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support child development.
Requirements for the EYFS Teaching Assistant role:
* Experience supporting children in EYFS settings (Nursery or Reception).
* A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
