The role would suit an experienced construction business development professional with strong relationship-building skills and knowledge of commercial construction markets.Responsibilities for Business Development Manager / Bid Manager / Work Winning ManagerAs Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new opportunities across the construction sector. You will work closely with clients, consultants, architects, supply chain partners and internal commercial teams to support tender opportunities, framework activity and long-term business growth.Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction sectorBuild and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, architects and supply chain partnersMaximise opportunities through existing construction frameworksMonitor tenders, PQQs and tender submissionsAttend client meetings, site visits, networking events and presentationsLiaise with estimating and commercial teams to support successful bids and project winsRequirements for Business Development Manager / Bid Manager / Work Winning ManagerThe ideal candidate will have previous experience in construction business development, ideally within a main contractor or commercial construction environment.
You should be confident developing relationships, spotting opportunities and working closely with internal teams to help secure new projects.Previous experience in construction business developmentExperience within commercial construction sectors such as healthcare, education, public sector or similar environmentsUnderstanding of tenders, PQQs, frameworks and construction sales processesStrong relationship-building, communication and presentation skillsCommercial awareness and ability to work closely with estimating and commercial teamsFull UK driving licenceTPBN1_UKTJ
