We’re looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Health and Safety Administrator to join our team on a fixed term or secondment basis. This is a key role supporting the Health and Safety function and employer vetting service, helping to ensure safe, compliant and effective working environments across the College and with our external partners.
As the first point of contact for many of our internal and external stakeholders, you’ll play an essential role in coordinating processes, managing systems and supporting a wide range of health and safety activities.
What you’ll be doing
In this varied and fast-paced role, you will:
* Act as a first point of contact for health and safety queries, delivering excellent customer service
* Coordinate diaries, appointments and meetings for the Health and Safety team
* Manage and maintain internal systems (including CRM) and ensure records are accurate and up to date
* Support employer vetting processes to ensure work placements run smoothly and compliantly
* Organise and support meetings, forums and committees, including preparing agendas, minutes and tracking actions
* Coordinate health surveillance programmes, liaising with staff, managers and external providers
* Collect, collate and analyse data to produce regular performance and compliance reports
* Support the management of first aid and fire warden provision, including training and records
* Assist in managing GDPR-related processes and documentation

What we’re looking for
We’re seeking someone who is proactive, detail-oriented and confident working with a wide range of people.
You’ll bring:
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Confidence using IT systems and working with data
* The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment
* A proactive approach and ability to use your initiative
* Experience of administrative work, ideally in a customer-focused setting
An understanding of health and safety processes would be beneficial, but not essential.
