 
        
        Job Summary
This key coordinating role supports the medical workforce in King’s Critical Care. The Medical Staffing Coordinator provides expert administrative and technical support across all aspects of medical staffing, including rota management, recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning. You will represent the department to our doctors, support recruitment and induction, manage payroll queries and ensure safe staffing.
Key Responsibilities
 * Coordinate resident doctor rotas, including planning, distribution and monitoring.
 * Manage recruitment and onboarding of medical staff, including new doctors and trainees.
 * Maintain accurate workforce data and monitor annual leave and study leave.
 * Track and report workforce information to support safe staffing and meet national and Trust requirements.
 * Use systems such as Excel, Lists, HealthRoster, Trac, Teams and Microsoft Office to support staffing.
 * Provide administrative support for wider operational and project work for the Service Manager and Deputy General Manager.
 * Resolve queries, anticipate gaps, find solutions and communicate clearly with clinical and management colleagues.
 * Support continuous improvement in efficiency and reduce administrative burden on clinicians.
Qualifications
 * A good standard of English, GCSE or equivalent (A‑C grade).
 * RSA III/OCR qualification or equivalent.
 * Advanced IT literacy with experience of using complex applications.
Knowledge & Experience
 * Understandings of medical staffing and HR policies and procedures.
 * Experience coordinating complex multi‑disciplinary meetings, training programmes and workforce planning.
 * Previous NHS or healthcare experience, particularly familiarity with trainee doctor rotations or medical HR processes, is advantageous.

Contract & Salary
Permanent, full‑time with potential for job share. Band 6. Salary £46,419 to £55,046 per annum, HCA inclusive.
Working Pattern
Full‑time, Job share. Based at King’s College Hospital, Denmark Hill, London SE5 9RS.
