Night Support Worker Vacancy

A reputable housing charity is currently recruiting for a Night Support Worker in the Hertfordshire area. This would be a temporary to permanent contract and you’ll be required to work 42 hours per week.
Length: 3 months Temporary to permanent
Hours: 42 hours a week, Night shifts – 20:00 to 08:00 on a 4 on 4 off basis
Location: Borehamwood
Pay: £13.87 per hour PAYE including holiday pay (£33,775.97 permanent salary)
The role involves:
* Providing a night concierge service to residents and visitors within a homeless hostel
* Controlling access to the building
* Monitoring CCTV systems to identify any possible incidents
* Undertaking frequent and regular patrols of the building and monitoring any anti-social behaviour
* Dealing with health and safety issues
* Acting as a fire warden in the event of a fire alarm being triggered
* Contacting the “on call” manager in the event of an emergency or serious incident
* Being compassionate and caring in the event a resident is feeling vulnerable
* Dealing with mental health crisis that may arise
Additional requirements:
* Experience in a similar position working night shifts
* UK Drivers License
* An enhanced DBS ideally from within three years or willingness to obtain one
* Experience working with vulnerable clients
