FIAMM Energy Technology, for the Sales area of the BU Reserve in Cannock, UK, is looking for a
Sales Area Manager
The person will be responsible for supporting, creating and building business opportunities within our customers' backup battery applications across the UK, Ireland and Nordic markets. Including responsibility for the company’s targeted profitability, response/service and technological support to existing and potential customers.
The main activities and responsibilities are:
1. Strategy
o Collect information, develop opportunities and assess the state of competition for greater market penetration.
o Generate market strategy to achieve growth in account-base/territory with line managers.
2. Internal coordination, reporting
o Ensure that management is aware of customer concerns and new opportunities.
o Attend and participate in management meetings as required.
o Coordinate with the Regional Sales Manager and according to agreed internal procedures and requests to provide visit reports, sales, margin, customer development, etc.
o Coordinate with the in-house sales engineer/HQ of application engineering
3. Prices and offers
o Responsible for managing the price list.
o Provide a rapid response to quoting requests to generate new business opportunities.
Introduce and present updates or new product launches.
o Develop and define customer/market specific product offerings to maximize revenues; and
profitability.
4. Customer management and networking
o Maintain regular face-to-face sales calls as appropriate for clients/area of responsibility
o Provide timely and competent feedback to the customer’s requests by coordinating with Customer Service where appropriate in order to provide a high standard of service and facilitate the relationship.
o Develop and maintain Healthy relationships with customers, engineers, buyers and contracts
managers within their area of responsibility.
5. Customer development
o Seek new business with current and future programs within telecom/UPS & Utility
o Applications in line with annual targets.
o Maintain and develop existing customer relationships in order to possibly increase
the opportunities for the future.
o Develop future customers and develop customer and application relationships
technical/customer service representatives.
o Identify, target and develop the accounts that our client has the potential to provide.
Attend market-relevant trade fairs.
o Establish contacts with colleagues in HQ or other countries to find new opportunities or prospects.
Requirements:
• Degree, technical engineer
• Good knowledge of the Office package
• CRM/Qlik/SAP knowledge
• Previous experience in the role of at least 3/5 years in Renewable energy, UPS, Telecom, System integrators sector
