As an Enterprise Architect, you will play a central role in a major public sector healthcare transformation programme. The Enterprise Architect role offers the opportunity to influence long-term strategy, define enterprise-wide target architectures, and ensure delivery aligns with security, regulatory, and operational requirements.
The Role - Enterprise Architect
The Enterprise Architect position is a senior, programme-level role responsible for defining and governing enterprise-wide architecture across business, data, application, and technology domains.
Working closely with C-suite stakeholders, programme leadership, and delivery teams, the Enterprise Architect will shape target and transition architectures, guide complex decision-making, and provide assurance across multiple workstreams.
This role is well suited to an Enterprise Architect comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels, balancing long-term vision with pragmatic delivery in a public sector healthcare context.
You'll have the opportunity to: Lead enterprise architecture across a large-scale public sector healthcare transformation
Define and own target and transition architectures aligned to organisational strategy
Shape technology roadmaps, capability models, and operating models
Provide architectural oversight for cloud migration, application rationalisation, and systems integration
Influence senior stakeholders and delivery teams across multiple programmes
Key Responsibilities: Define and govern enterprise-wide business, data, application, and technology architectures
Lead architecture governance and assurance across programmes and workstreams
Translate business strategy into executable technology roadmaps
Ensure compliance with regulatory, data protection, and security standards
Support procurement, vendor selection, and supplier assurance activities
Collaborate closely with programme managers, solution architects, and senior stakeholders
Key Requirements: Proven experience working as an Enterprise Architect on large-scale transformation programmes
Strong background in highly regulated environments (public sector, healthcare, government, or financial services)
Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF essential)
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and modern integration patterns
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to operate at both strategic and delivery levels
