Morgan Philips is searching for a Senior Arts, Culture and Design Manager to be based in either London or Birmingham for 6 months on a contract basis paying up to £650 per day. This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the office.
The role of the Senior Arts, Culture & Design Manager is part of the arts and culture team within the design team. The design team is responsible for leading, implementing and monitoring the Design Vision which drives design excellence in every aspect. The arts and culture team plays a critical role that connects across the companies project phases, multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders, to deliver key aspects of design excellence through the implementation of the Strategy.
Duties include;
* Curate and commission a series of very high profile permanent and temporary arts and culture commissions and programmes across key sites that deliver the Design Vision, positive stakeholder engagement and Corporate Objectives.
* Procure, contract and manage multiple teams of external expert cultural consultants and artists to deliver key art commissions across sites, working collaboratively with both internal stakeholders and external partners to meet deadlines and budgets
* Manage budgets, tracking and monitoring key progress and outputs.
The successful candidate will have strong experience curating contemporary art and creative design thinking including an ability to assess and provide advice on arts, culture and design approaches and solutions that address corporate design aspirations and vision, standards and guidance. You will also have expertise curating contemporary art, creative production and best practice in public art commissioning.
