A well-established and expanding business based in North Yorkshire is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, growing operation while supporting the day-to-day financial processes of the organisation.
Role Summary:
This position involves a broad range of accounting tasks and is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in finance who is looking to further develop their skills within a supportive and flexible working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing and maintaining sales and purchase ledger entries
Managing supplier payments and bank transactions
Posting journals accurately and on time
Assisting with month-end and year-end financial procedures
Supporting the preparation of internal financial reports
Enhancing and maintaining processes within Sage
Collaborating with operational teams to support smooth financial operations
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proficiency with Sage 50 and/or Sage 200
Strong Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail
Organised and methodical approach to managing workloads
Ability to meet deadlines consistently
