The Associate Director for HTA will lead strategies on behalf of our clients to secure positive recommendations from HTA bodies in the UK and Ireland (e.g. NICE, SMC and NCPE) and Europe (e.g. EU JCA, AMNOG, TLC, HAS etc), ensuring timely and successful market access for our client’s products.
This role requires expertise in UK health policy, evidence generation, and stakeholder engagement and, ideally, a good knowledge of the requirements for European HTA submissions.
You will be required to work closely with colleagues within multi-disciplinary project teams and externally with clients, external associates (e.g., key opinion leaders), and third-party agencies to achieve project objectives.
Your ability to perform this role will be based on demonstrable experience through the volume and breadth of individual deliverables and projects successfully delivered, and positive feedback received.
HTA Strategy & Submissions
* Act as a strategic partner for our clients, building rapport and ensuring a good understanding of their product, therapy portfolio and broad strategic access requirements to ensure the successful delivery of individual HTA submissions or broader submission and access sequencing.
* Provide strategic advice and lead on HTA strategy and submissions both externally with the client and internally to support cross-functional working within project delivery teams.
* Provide guidance and mentoring to the HTA consultants to support their development, ensuring HTA projects and proposals are delivered on time and on budget.
* Represent clients, as requested, in HTA consultations and scientific advice meetings.
* Educate internal teams on HTA trends, NHS and health system policy changes, and implications for access.
Evidence Generation & Analysis
* Identify evidence gaps and support with the design of economic modelling approaches (e.g. cost-effectiveness and budget impact models) to support successful HTA submission.
* Oversee evidence generation, including systematic literature reviews and clinical opinion, statistical analysis and economic modelling tailored to the respective HTA body requirements and submission strategy.
* Prepare for and facilitate advisory boards and other strategy meetings to support HTA strategy development and submission.
HTA Functional Leadership
* Support the HTA Director in leading the HTA function, deputising for them as required, and supporting in business planning, revenue delivery and business development activities.
* Play an active role in developing the profile and visibility of the Petauri HTA function both externally and internally.
* Role model good values-based leadership behaviours and provide matrix and/or line management to HTA consultants.
* Work with the HTA Director to ensure that the team is up to date with new trends and policy.
* Contribute to the Petauri Evidence account‑based partnership approach to best serve clients and develop relationships across the product lifecycle with other Petauri services.
* Business Development and marketing activities: Identify and lead new business opportunities with existing and new potential clients; Development of proposals and leading pitches; Support marketing activities for the HTA service.
