Funding Administrator – Part-Time (22.5 hours/week)

Salary: Approx. £24,000 pro rata (DOE)
The Essex Association of Local Councils (EALC) is a growing County Association supporting Town & Parish Councils across Essex. We are seeking a proactive and organised Funding Administrator to join our team for a 6-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer grant funding schemes from launch to completion.
* Respond to enquiries from applicants and assess applications against scheme criteria.
* Maintain accurate records and conduct due diligence using Excel.
* Advise applicants on award decisions and prepare payments.
* Monitor funded projects to ensure timely and appropriate completion.
* Showcase success stories via newsletters and media.
* Support other office functions and EALC events.
What We're Looking For:
* Strong administrative, organisational, and numeracy skills.
* Proficiency in Excel is essential.
* Ability to manage competing demands and prioritise effectively.
* A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
* Experience in the sector is not required—training will be provided.
