What is the role? As a Senior Personal Shopper, our mid-tier of personal shopper, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with Selfridges’ core personal shopping customers, including our VSPs (£10k) and VVSPs (£20k) tiers, along with new high-net-worth clients shopping by appointment. You will demonstrate strong networking and relationship-building capabilities, enabling you to grow your client base through both existing connections and new client acquisition. You will uphold high standards of service, professionalism, and discretion, consistently delivering refined styling and lifestyle consultations. Building on your expertise across Selfridges’ full product offering, you will drive strong cross-category and own bought sales, contributing meaningfully to the success of the team. As a Senior Personal Shopper you will: Nurture and develop relationships to generate new business with a focus on international, high potential and high net worth clients. Recognise potential events either in store or offsite to further our client base and pro-actively approaching individuals and corporations Generate ideas and implement plans to develop business opportunities and drive productivity, sales and profit across own bought and concession businesses Demonstrate a commercial mind set and outlook to stay responsive to customer needs, sharing inspiration in immediate & wider team Monitor customer service satisfaction and spend, suggesting improvements where necessary and keeping us ahead of our competitors Partner with key stakeholders at store events and through other commercial opportunities (CNY, Eid, Christmas, Football pop-ups) Act as an ambassador for Selfridges Personal Shopping both internally and externally by representing our brand in public/store events to promote our products and services Work confidently and collaboratively with various departments, from the wider personal shopping team, various departments and divisions, to Fashion Workroom, you strive to deliver exceptional service and standards Stay ahead of the latest trends by taking every opportunity to expand your product knowledge, and being aware of competitor activity How you’ll do it…you will be: Highly regarded within the field of Personal Shopping, with a proven portfolio of loyal, high-value clients, with in-depth knowledge of the customer base, brands, the Services we offer and our clients lifestyles Confident in managing complexity with a calm and professional approach Proactive in ceasing opportunities to build customer relationships and actively promoting the Personal shopping Team and its services An expert in luxury lifestyle and can talk confidently within this space An excellent communicator and can influence across all levels, you excel in the relationships you build internally and externally Strong commercial acumen, target and performance driven, can speak confidently to Retail and client KPIS and understands the levers to achieve commercial success A brand ambassador, demonstrating Values and behaviours KPIs Client base – new client acquisition, retention, conversion and upgrade NPS This guide represents a summary of the role, however all team members are expected to be flexible in the work they undertake, which may change from time to time, according to the needs of the business
