Are you a people-focused housing professional with a passion for delivering excellent services to residents? We're looking for an experienced Housing Manager to lead a small but dedicated team and drive high-quality tenancy and estate services across our East London homes.
About the Role
As Housing Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of six Housing Officers and Housing Assistants, delivering effective tenancy management and customer-focused housing services. Your leadership will be key in ensuring excellent resident satisfaction, compliance with legislation, and continuous service improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the housing management team
Ensure the effective delivery of tenancy and estate services, including ASB management, lettings, tenancy sustainment, and estate inspections
Monitor team performance, set clear objectives, and ensure KPIs and service standards are met
Act as a point of escalation for complex tenancy issues and resident complaints
Build strong relationships with residents, local partners, and internal departments to deliver joined-up services
Support and develop your team through regular supervision, training, and performance reviews About You:
Proven experience in a housing management role, ideally within social housing
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
Excellent knowledge of housing legislation and good practice in tenancy and estate management
A customer-first approach, with a commitment to achieving positive outcomes for residents
Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills Qualifications:
A relevant professional housing qualification (e.g. CIH Level 4 or above) is highly desirable
Strong working knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy law
Evidence of continued professional development in housing, leadership or customer service is advantageous
A degree or equivalent experience in housing, social policy, or a related field is welcomed but not essential
