SEN Class Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join the borough’s largest special school, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including ADHD, Down syndrome and Autism.
This is a fantastic opportunity for both experienced teachers and those new to the profession (including NQTs and teachers with a primary background) who are passionate about inclusive education and making a difference.
Key Details:
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £185–£195 per day (PAYE, weekly pay)
Hours:
Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 8:45am – 3:15pm
Tuesday & Thursday: 8:45am – 4:30pm
Class Size: Approx. 8 pupils per class
Your Role:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs
Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development in a nurturing environment
Work closely with experienced support staff, therapists and families to ensure the best outcomes
Encourage independence, communication and confidence in learners
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – open to both experienced and newly qualified teachers
A background in primary teaching is welcomed
Experience or strong interest in working with pupils with SEND (Autism, ADHD, Down syndrome)
Patience, resilience and a genuine passion for inclusive education
Strong classroom management and the ability to adapt lessons creatively
