THE ROLE You will ensure production is planned effectively to balance the needs of the business focusing on manufacturing efficiency and demand requirement You will be involved with creating and developing reports, liaising with the production team to implement an effective strategy to suit the current business requirement You will work to identify potential shortages and counteract service misses You will plan based on current demand and have a customer-oriented view Your role focuses on décor treatment demand and CPL planning You will occasionally take on any ad-hoc tasks, contribute to ongoing business projects You will be responsible for hitting operational targets You will work alongside the team to effectively plan the factory You will consistently focus on productivity and continuous improvement You will work alongside colleagues in planning and raw materials to highlight and prevent potential issues that will affect the plan You will be working with production to ensure the plan is delivered effectively THE PERSON This role will suit a person with a manufacturing background but has recently moved into a production planning role with at least 1 years’ experience on the below points It is essential that you have good knowledge of using ERP systems You will have good knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel – understand data tables, create pivots and use basic functions (e.g. vlookup) You will need good knowledge of procurement / purchasing and import / export You must have experience of S&OP process You must have experience of working in a busy manufacturing environment You will have a positive and proactive ‘can do’ attitude You can demonstrate to work under pressure and be resilient You must have a willingness to learn You will be able to demonstrate to be analytical and have a good attention to working detail You can work on your own or part a diverse team You will be commercially astute and aware of the long term plan for business growth It is desirable to have customer services knowledge Laminate production process, logistics / distribution is desirable Demand planning knowledge is desirable Knowledge of Infor systems (LX), Qlik or Alteryx (or similar) is also desirable TO APPLY Please apply for this position and your CV will go direct to our Engineering Team.
