Salary: GBP110 - GBP140 per hour + dependant on experience
Role: Locum Consultant Interventional Radiologist
Details:
Maternity Cover. The role includes vascular and non-vascular interventions. Day-time work involves: biopsies, drainages, urology procedures (nephrostomies, ureteric stents), PTCs, peripheral and aortic vascular interventions. Emergency and on-call duties include managing sepsis and hemorrhage, covering the spectrum of procedures plus embolizations.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, skilled, and knowledgeable Locum Radiology Consultant to join this prestigious NHS Health Board.
In this role, you will act as an expert consultant, analyzing images to diagnose, monitor, and treat various conditions, diseases, and injuries.
Working with a friendly, multidisciplinary team, you'll utilize some of the most advanced imaging technology, pioneering the use of CT, MRI, PET, and fusion imaging.
As a member of the Radiology team, you'll have access to development and support packages to expand your expertise or explore new intervention techniques.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
* Use imaging to diagnose, treat, and manage medical conditions
* Provide guidance to other healthcare professionals
* Collaborate with medical and non-medical staff to ensure quality care
* Select appropriate radiology techniques for diagnosis and perform minimally invasive procedures
* Support and communicate effectively with patients and families
* Participate in multidisciplinary team activities
* Assess patient needs, prioritize, and delegate tasks appropriately
* Monitor patient conditions and report changes
* Handle administrative and clerical tasks as needed
Qualifications and Licenses
* GMC registered Doctor (not required to be on the Specialist Register)
* Relevant experience at Consultant level or supporting references
* Evidence of right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
* Pass an enhanced DBS check
