Pay: £85 – £100 per day

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Oldham (OL1) is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join their team.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain first-hand classroom experience, whether you’re looking to progress into teaching, SEN support, or educational psychology.
Your Role – Where You’ll Make a Difference
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll be supporting pupils with both their learning and personal development across the school.
Your day-to-day may include:
• Supporting pupils with phonics, early reading, and handwriting to develop core literacy skills
• Helping children with numeracy and problem-solving activities in small groups or 1:1
• Delivering targeted interventions for pupils who need extra support to keep up with learning
• Assisting teachers in preparing and adapting lessons to meet individual needs
• Supporting pupils with SEN such as ASD, ADHD, or speech & language needs
• Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to monitor and celebrate progress
Who We’re Looking For
This role would be perfect for:
• Graduates in Psychology, Childhood Studies, Nursing, or Health & Social Care who want to gain school-based experience
• Aspiring teachers, SEN specialists, or educational psychologists
• Candidates with experience in care, youth work, tutoring, or classroom support
• Individuals with Teaching Assistant qualifications or child-related training
You don’t need years of classroom experience—just patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
