We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join our client’s private hospital based on a stunning Caribbean island. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population within a dynamic and fast-paced clinical environment, while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
* Deliver immediate assessment, resuscitation, and stabilisation for patients presenting with acute medical conditions and traumatic injuries
* Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and formulate comprehensive management plans in collaboration with specialist colleagues
* Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff in emergency medicine protocols and procedures
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care for admitted and referred patients
* Participate in on-call rotas and respond to emergency situations as required, including mass casualty incidents and public health emergencies
Requirements
* Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognised institution
* Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (e.g. ABEM, CCFP-EM, or equivalent)
* Valid, unrestricted medical licence or eligibility for licensure in the Cayman Islands
* 3–5 years’ post-residency experience in a busy, high-volume Emergency Department
* Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications
Registration Eligibility
* Must be eligible for medical registration in the Cayman Islands
* Provisional registration is available for applicants who qualified in Australia, Canada, Jamaica, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, or the USA
