Key Responsibilities
* Conduct site inspections across the Council’s property estate to assess statutory compliance.
* Identify areas of non-compliance and take appropriate action to rectify issues.
* Manage and coordinate third-party contractors to deliver remedial works.
* Monitor progress and ensure all required actions are completed effectively and on time.
* Accurately maintain and update compliance tracking systems.
* Work collaboratively with legal and compliance colleagues to ensure clear accountability and adherence to statutory obligations.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who brings:
* Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach.
* Strong working knowledge of property-related statutory compliance requirements.
* A sound understanding of building pathology and M&E (mechanical and electrical) systems.
* Proven experience in managing contractors and delivering property-related projects.
* Excellent organisational and project management skills.
* The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a specialist team environment.
Additional Information
* This is a fixed-term role linked to a defined compliance project.
* The primary base will be the Council’s Civic Centre; however, extensive travel across the Borough is required.
* Please note that access to a vehicle may be necessary, as public transport options to some sites are limited.
