Job Summary
Acting as an autonomous practitioner, you will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of specialist treatment plans for patients within a defined clinical group across the disease spectrum. This role demands advanced clinical expertise, combining extensive theoretical knowledge with practical experience to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will also serve as a role model, promoting clinical excellence and supporting colleagues in the delivery of expert care.
You will be responsible for designing and delivering specialist education programmes to a broad range of healthcare professionals—including medical, nursing, and Allied Health staff—enhancing knowledge and clinical practice across the multidisciplinary team.
You will take a leading role in research and audit activities related to your specialty, both within Frimley Health and in collaboration with external partners, contributing to evidence-based practice and continuous service improvement.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract role.
Main Duties
1. Provide expert clinical care using extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience, acting as a role model for delivering expert care.
2. Deliver specialist educational programmes to healthcare professionals regarding infectious diseases, including medical, nursing, and Allied Health Professional staff.
3. Lead research and audit activities within infectious diseases, both internally at Frimley Health and externally.
4. Work mainly at Wexham site, with flexibility to work at other sites within Frimley Health. The role involves working with underserved communities and collaborating closely with public health services to support national health targets.
