Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Centre Systems Design Engineer for our Data Centre Segment regional Sales team. This role involves providing technical expertise and leadership in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and a proven ability to solve complex technical challenges.
Location
Hybrid working solutions are available for the Greater London area.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and development of LV, MV, UPS, energy storage, and other electrical systems for Data Centres.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation.
* Conduct technical analyses and recommend improvements.
* Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate innovative solutions.
* Ensure compliance with IEC, EU requirements, and building codes.
* Define project scope and provide technical support during all project phases.
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and industry peers.
* Support marketing activities and represent Eaton as an industry solutions expert.
* Manage multiple projects across different regions and travel as needed.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's preferred.
* 6-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, focusing on design and development.
* Expertise in power distribution, control systems, and automation.
* Deep knowledge of European Electrical Codes and industry standards.
* Proven problem-solving skills and ability to drive innovation.
* Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with sustainable and energy-efficient electrical design.
* Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
* Advanced project management qualifications are a plus.
