Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team on a part time self employed basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various models of vehicles. Also be able to rebuild engines. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. The Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our work.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, and clutch replacements.
* Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
* Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance work performed.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
* Collaborate with other team members to improve repair processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and engines.
* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Maintenance).
* A valid driving licence is preferred.
* Having your own tools is essential.
