Stanton House are partnering with a highly respected financial services organisation, supporting their search for a
Financial Accounting Team Leader
to join their operational finance function. This business has an excellent reputation for developing talent and driving innovation across finance and operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for managing the monthly general ledger close for a portfolio of non-corporate entities, overseeing financial transactions, and supporting wider finance initiatives including year-end, audits, and tax. The role also offers the opportunity to drive process improvements and efficiencies across the operational finance team while developing and coaching a small team of Accounts Technicians.
Key Requirements:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Strong technical accounting skills with experience in general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Proven leadership skills with experience coaching and developing junior team members
* Financial services experience (insurance, investment management, Solvency II) desirable
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the monthly close of general ledgers for non-corporate entities
* Produce operational cash flows (actuals and forecasts) ensuring liquidity within regulatory frameworks
* Support the provision of MI reporting, highlighting key trends and performance
* Assist with year-end audits and tax data submissions to the Financial Control team
* Drive change and efficiency within operational finance processes
* Lead, mentor and develop a team of Accounts Technicians
