Senior Landscape Architect
* Hourly Rate: £21.65

We are seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to lead and support the delivery of landscape regeneration projects within the Environmental Services Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality design, effective programme management, and compliance with council standards and procedures.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage complex landscape projects from inception to completion, including design, costing, and contract administration.
* Lead design reviews and ensure quality assurance across the landscape regeneration service.
* Commission and supervise external consultants and contractors.
* Monitor project programmes and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
* Prepare site surveys, feasibility studies, design drawings, specifications, and reports.
* Support partnership working and external funding applications.
* Maintain approved contractor/consultant lists.
* Contribute to service development, benchmarking, and customer engagement.
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and environmental management systems.
* Provide leadership to assigned project staff and contribute to team development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Strong design and problem-solving skills with innovative landscape solutions.
* Proven experience in hard and soft landscape design and contract administration.
* Proficiency in Keyscape DS2005 or similar design software.
* Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering projects to deadlines.
* Excellent communication and consultation skills, including report writing and presentations.
* Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (Part IV) with relevant post-qualification experience.
* Degree in Landscape Architecture.
* Full, clean driving licence.
