Finance Manager
Location: Reading - Hybrid, 3 days on site
Rate: £450-£475 per day (via Umbrella)
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday-Friday
Contract Length: 6 months
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team on a 6‑month contract, supporting high‑quality financial reporting, controls and operational delivery. This is a key role within the finance function, offering the opportunity to lead month‑end processes, guide a talented team, and ensure robust financial governance across the organisation.
You will work in a hybrid capacity, spending three days per week in our Reading office.
Key Responsibilities
As Finance Manager, you will:
Lead the month‑end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness through the review and approval of key journals.
Manage, mentor and develop a team of accountants and finance analysts, supporting their growth and performance.
Assist with year‑end group pack preparation and review, ensuring high‑quality submissions.
Ensure full compliance with Group financial control policies, including oversight of balance sheet reconciliations.
Oversee the transition of completed development projects into the operational portfolio, driving continuous improvement in processes and financial controls.
About You
You will bring strong technical accounting expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to operate confidently in a fast‑paced environment. You should be comfortable managing complex financial processes, influencing stakeholders, and ensuring high standards of accuracy and control.
