Job Title: Biomedical Scientist - Histology Banding: Band 5/6 Location: Salisbury, Wiltshire Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Start Date: ASAP Rate: £26 per hour Duration: Ongoing We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and motivated Biomedical Scientist with histology experience to join our esteemed client in Salisbury, Wiltshire. This role requires working in a fast-paced and dynamic laboratory environment, where you will be responsible for executing a comprehensive range of histology tests and procedures. Your advanced expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the precision and reliability of test results, which are critical for accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for conducting a broad spectrum of histology tests, including cutting 25 blocks per hour, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment, and ensuring strict adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations. You will analyse and interpret complex test results with a high degree of accuracy, maintain meticulous records and documentation, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver superior patient care. Qualifications and Experience: Extensive experience in histology. Ability to cut 25 blocks per hour. HCPC registration. Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science or a related field.
