Buckswood School motto is 'Ad Vitam Paramus' or 'we prepare for life', and our magical campus set on 40 acres of country estate, vineyard, stables and activity centre provide the setting for passionate subject specialists to ignite students' imaginations. Buckswood School is at the exciting start of developing its Performing Arts programme, and we are seeking enthusiastic and talented peripatetic teachers in music (all instruments), singing, and dance to help shape this journey and inspire our students' creativity. We want teachers who can spark passion, build confidence, and help young people grow in their artistic journeys.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and effective peripatetic lessons in your specialism (music, singing, or dance)
* Inspire students to develop their technical skills, creativity, and confidence
* Monitor and assess students\' progress, providing constructive feedback
* Work collaboratively with the school's academic and pastoral teams
* Prepare students for performances, exams, and showcases as required
* Maintain accurate records of lessons, attendance, and student progress
* Report to the Performing Arts Coordinator regarding student progress, lesson planning, and curriculum alignment
* Contribute to the development of the school's new Performing Arts programme
Person Specification
* Proven experience teaching your instrument, voice, or dance
* Excited to be part of a growing Performing Arts programme
* Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire students of all ages and abilities
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Professionalism, reliability, and flexibility
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
