As our client continues to evolve their digital and commercial capabilities, we are seeking an experienced Director of Procurement (IT) & Commercial to lead their strategic sourcing and vendor management agenda.
The Opportunity
This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing our enterprise-wide IT procurement and commercial strategy. You will lead high-value sourcing initiatives, negotiate complex technology agreements, and drive value across our supplier ecosystem while ensuring strong governance and risk management.
Reporting to the [CFO/COO], you will work closely with the CIO, Finance, Legal, and operational leaders to support business growth and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and deliver the organization's IT procurement and commercial strategy
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives across software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, telecoms, and professional services
• Negotiate high-value technology contracts and commercial agreements
• Drive cost optimization, value realization, and commercial performance
• Strengthen supplier governance, performance management, and risk mitigation
• Oversee tendering (RFP/RFQ) processes and contract lifecycle management
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement and commercial team
• Partner with senior stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and digital transformation
About You
You are a strategic and commercially astute leader with deep expertise in IT sourcing and contract negotiation. You thrive in complex environments and bring a strong balance of analytical rigor, relationship management, and executive presence.
We're looking for someone with:
• 10+ years' experience in procurement, with strong IT category leadership
• Proven track record negotiating complex IT contracts (SaaS, cloud, enterprise software, managed services)
• Strong understanding of technology licensing and cloud pricing models
• Experience delivering measurable cost savings and commercial improvements
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• Degree in Business, Finance, IT, Supply Chain, or related discipline (MBA or professional certification desirable)
