Senior Hydraulic Modeller
Location: Exeter
Salary: GBP 40,000 – 45,000

This role is offered by an innovative, eco‑conscious multidisciplinary consultancy that supports projects across the engineering and environmental sectors. The senior hydraulic modeller will work on a range of projects across various sectors and will be based in the scenic city of Exeter.

Responsibilities
* Supervise a high‑performing team in the delivery of a variety of projects
* Produce hydraulic models and surveys
* Check and review colleagues’ work
* Analyse and interpret data using a variety of software systems, and prepare/check/publish reports
* Supervise the preparation of plans using MapInfo
* Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders across public and private sectors
* Attend site visits and other meetings on behalf of the company
* Manage projects and people
* Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and health and safety measures at all times
Required Skills and Experience
* Degree (or equivalent) in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
* Demonstrable experience in a design‑based role within a UK consultancy or local authority setting
* Extensive experience in wastewater modelling
* Proficiency with InfoWorks ICM (1D and 2D) and other relevant software packages
* Experience liaising closely with a variety of clients and stakeholders
* Full, valid UK driving licence
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Hold Chartered status, or actively working to attain it
* Good knowledge of the local area and surrounding region
* Working knowledge of other software systems used within flood risk, drainage, and hydrology sectors
