SEN Teaching Assistant - Rochdale
Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and supportive SEN school in Rochdale.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Help manage behaviour positively and effectively
Support students' emotional, social, and academic development
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential)
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
