The Global Markets & Technologies (GM&T) World Business Unit delivers technological solutions (molecules, equipment and services) to support the new markets of energy transition, maritime logistics and scientific exploration, in order to accelerate Air Liquide sustainable growth. To support the energy transition, GM&T brings environmentally friendly solutions to the clean energy market with hydrogen energy and Bio-Natural Gas for vehicles, refrigerated transport using nitrogen, and the treatment and injection of Biogas into the energy grid as a local power source.
Air Liquide Biogas team develops global solutions for biomethane upgrading across the entire supply chain, including production, purification, liquefaction, packaging, transportation, and distribution. Using innovative membrane technology, we separate methane and carbon dioxide to generate high-quality biomethane.
The Process Engineer works independently or with others to analyze performance, identify improvement opportunities, develop action plans, and implement improvements to support quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
Working closely with a Sr. Processing Engineer, Engineering Manager, and other cross-functional teams, this role supports fiber production processes, primarily focusing on daily support and oversight for spinning and coating equipment.
Responsibilities:
Process Engineering
* Recommend and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
* Design and conduct process improvement tests.
* Monitor, analyze, and report process performance trends.
* Ensure compliance with engineering standards and quality requirements.
* Own and improve work instructions for clarity and effectiveness.
* Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts.
* Analyze issues, verify causes, provide solutions, and implement preventive actions.
* Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects, develop action plans, and deliver results.
* Assist in operator training to promote improvement ideas and sustain improvements.
* Participate in the design, debugging, and commissioning of capital projects.
* Maintain relationships with Operations, Maintenance, Technology, HSE, ATS, and R&D teams.
* Work on US Government projects.
* Monitor and analyze performance data for product lines.
* Identify opportunities for prevention and improvement through various analyses and operator interactions.
* Lead incident investigations related to low yield, high scrap, rework, or job variance issues.
* Report performance metrics in meetings.
Requirements
* B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
* 1-2 years of manufacturing experience.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and in teams.
* Strong command of English language, verbal and written.
* US Citizen or Green Card Holder with valid unrestricted employment authorization in the U.S.
Preferred
* Understanding of and experience with 5S / LEAN principles.
* Hands-on mechanical skills.
Salary / Annual Bonus
The salary range is $85k - $95k, with an additional annual target incentive of 9% based on performance.
