Overview
Business Operations Placement (13 months) at Airbus Defence and Space. Start date: 22 June 2026. Location: Stevenage. Duration: 13 months.
What you will be doing
The successful candidate will become an integral member of the Business Operations Team, which controls and monitors Organisational Planning, Governance, Transformation, Improvement, Knowledge Management, Collaboration and Special Projects across multiple locations; and coordinates Business Performance Reporting, supports the development of Business Strategy and maintains the Business Continuity Framework. The role provides access to a training library for project planning, cost control and analysis methodologies and techniques, and will be used to:
* Generate and adjust resource planning projections to support Operational Planning activities between the Business Winning, Delivery and Functional Teams.
* Assist Strategic Planning Team to ensure seamless resource planning by generating customised scenario plans and maintaining transparency as resource plans evolve.
* Interact with tools to ensure best practice and that data is recorded/reported accurately.
* Supply project history research for operational planning activities, providing recommendations to enhance standardised reports and modelling.
* Support monitoring and governance over Organisational Compliance, implement Business Continuity management activities, and support Transformation and Change initiatives across the Business.
Requirements
Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. It is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
* Currently studying a Business Undergraduate degree.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Ability to listen, understand and communicate information; attention to detail and good written/verbal communication.
* Desire to work in an open and trusting environment; strong interest in self-development.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to find creative solutions to complex problems.
* Able to make decisions based on evidence.
* Experience of using databases is beneficial but not essential.
Benefits
Salary: £23,850. 37 hours per week. Flexible working hours. Hybrid working. Half day Fridays. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
