Commissioning Engineers play a vital role in performing Electrical and PLC software commissioning activities within the allocated cost and time scale constraints of the material-handling project. They also ensure the commissioning activities follow the correct methods and standards to meet the requirements of the customer's project.

Responsibilities
* Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meeting and exceeding safety, quality, On-Time-Delivery and budget requirements.
* Commission controls systems on-site including electrical and PLC software commissioning and provide support to system test activities and training for the end user.
* Produce commissioning documentation including commissioning checklists, test specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments for automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100.
* Interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
* Ensure systems supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive.
* Commission safety-related parts of the control system solutions to regulations and in accordance with BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204 etc.
Qualifications and Experience
* HNC or HND in Electrical/Controls Engineering is essential as a minimum qualification.
* Experience with electrical commissioning activities.
* Experience with PLC commissioning activities would be an advantage but not essential; we would invest in development here.
* Understanding of automated warehouses is desirable, not essential.
* Hands-on experience with electrical commissioning.
* Exposure to PLC, HMI, or SCADA development activities would be an advantage but not essential.
* Ability to understand electrical and electronic technical manuals and drawings.
* Good understanding of bus systems.
* Understanding of distributed control systems is desirable, not essential.
* Ability to travel to customer sites for up to 80% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
* Full driver’s license to support travel requirements.
