Senior Business Analyst – IT & Change

Role Purpose
As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll shape and deliver key Protection‑focused change across the organisation. You’ll translate business goals into clear, actionable requirements and ensure every change initiative creates real value for customers, advisers, and the business.
Role Summary
You’ll lead end‑to‑end discovery and analysis on complex change projects—defining problems, designing future‑state processes, and ensuring solutions are robust, customer‑centric, and aligned to strategy. You’ll bring structure, challenge, and insight to delivery while supporting continuous improvement and mentoring others within the Change team.
What You’ll Do
* Lead Requirements & Analysis – Own requirements gathering, documentation, and validation across stakeholders.
* Optimise Processes – Analyse current processes, identify gaps, and design improved future‑state workflows.
* Produce Clear Documentation – Create business requirements, process maps, and user stories that are concise, accurate, and easy to understand.
* Drive Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships, facilitate workshops, and communicate analysis outputs effectively.
* Support Business Readiness – Identify non‑IT readiness needs and help teams prepare for successful implementation and go‑live.
* Champion Continuous Improvement – Promote best practice, enhance BA frameworks, and coach junior analysts.
What You’ll Bring
* 5+ years of BA expertise in requirements, process mapping, problem definition, and creating high‑quality artefacts.
* 5+ years in Protection (Life Insurance) with strong knowledge of underwriting, quote‑and‑apply journeys, adviser channels, regulation, and Protection lifecycle nuances.
* Strong change delivery background across Agile and Waterfall environments.
* Confidence with BA tools and platforms including Visio, Jira/Confluence, DevOps, and data tools such as Excel/Power BI.
* Excellent stakeholder management—skilled at influencing, facilitating workshops, and navigating complexity across internal teams and third parties.
