H9 Talent Solutions are supporting a leading Global Engineering Consultancy to identify an experienced Electrical Project Manager. This role offers the chance to contribute to the successful delivery of landmark renewable and low-carbon projects, while working alongside a multidisciplinary team of expert engineers and consultants shaping the future of the clean energy sector. You will be instrumental in the planning, delivery, and project management of major energy infrastructure projects across the UK & Ireland.
Role & Responsibilities
Manage and deliver a diverse portfolio of renewable and low-carbon energy projects, spanning solar PV, battery storage, wind, energy from waste, hydrogen, carbon capture, and conventional generation.
Apply strong technical expertise in electrical infrastructure, from extra-high voltage (EHV) through to low voltage (LV), including substations, switchgear, embedded generation, protection systems, and grid connection interfaces.
Act as the primary point of contact with UK Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and compliance.
Produce and present detailed technical reports, models, and documentation to a high professional standard, supporting internal teams and external clients.
Oversee construction and commissioning activities, including site inspections, witnessing of factory acceptance and site acceptance testing, and ongoing project monitoring.
Evaluate manufactured or fabricated components and equipment to identify potential defects or non-conformances.
Champion health, safety, and welfare best practice across all aspects of engineering delivery.
Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams while retaining the capability to operate independently when required.
Attend client, contractor, and stakeholder meetings, representing the business with professionalism and technical authority.
Skills & Experience
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (essential).
Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (desirable).
Proven track record in delivering renewable or power projects.
Strong technical knowledge of EHV/LV systems, substations, switchgear, embedded generation, and grid connections.
Experience engaging with UK DNOs and regulatory stakeholders.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills.
Strong understanding of health, safety, and welfare in engineering environments.
Willingness to travel across the UK, Ireland, and occasionally within the EU
