Business Administrator – Children’s Services ? Cheshire East area We’re working with Cheshire East Council to recruit a Business Administrator to provide high-quality administrative support across Children’s Services, with a particular focus on Children’s Partnership Boards and multi-agency working. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator who thrives in a fast-paced, professional environment and enjoys working with senior stakeholders to support service improvement and partnership delivery. ? The Role As a Business Administrator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and effective coordination of meetings, boards, events and administrative systems that support children’s services across the borough. Your responsibilities will include: Coordinating agendas, papers, reports, venues, attendance, minutes and follow-up actions for multi-agency and senior management boards and sub-groups Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Children’s Partnership Boards, service leads and wider team Liaising directly with senior managers and partner agencies Organising events including board meetings, conferences, development days and multi-agency workshops Managing administrative systems, correspondence, inboxes, phone calls and filing Supporting service development and partnership working to help improve outcomes for children and families Handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion ? About You You’ll be an organised, proactive administrator who can confidently manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across services. Essential criteria include: NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards this Strong administrative experience, ideally including minute-taking and meeting coordination Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Ability to work calmly to deadlines while maintaining accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and accurate minute-taking ability Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally A friendly, adaptable and resilient approach to work Desirable experience: Experience in a local government or public sector environment Knowledge of Children’s Services, safeguarding and SEND Understanding of data protection, confidentiality and basic financial processing ?
