Overview

Join our Team as a Teaching Assistant at The Tynings Primary School! Start Date: as soon as possible. Salary: Grade 10, £26,824 - £28,142 FTE per annum (Actual Salary based on weeks worked and hours: £18,707.23 - £19,626.41 p.a.). Contract: Permanent. Hours: 30 per week - 8.30 am – 3.30 pm Monday to Friday with a 1-hour unpaid lunchbreak, term time only to include INSET days (39 weeks). Application Closing Date: 18/09/2025. The Role

Thank you for your interest in working at The Tynings Primary School. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for our EYFS class. Working Monday to Friday, you will be joining a dynamic team of teachers and assistants who encourage children to always do their very best. You will play a key role in supporting high-quality provision, helping to ensure that all pupils can access learning effectively. The successful candidate should possess a Level 3 qualification, or above, and have experience of working within a Primary school setting.


Responsibilities

* Be passionate about making a difference to all children
* Have good knowledge of the Early Years curriculum
* Have experience supporting children’s learning, ideally within a school or classroom environment
* Be aspirational for every child and believe that all pupils can learn – even if they haven’t learnt something yet
* Be flexible and able to adapt their practice to support effective learning
* Demonstrate strong pupil management skills, ensuring that learning continues in a calm, structured environment
* Build strong, positive relationships with colleagues and children
* Be a reflective practitioner with a strong desire to learn and continually improve


Additional Information

Fluency Duty: This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, staff and other users and provide advice and guidance in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
