The primary function of this role is to provide cleaning services to support a safe environment for Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust patients and colleagues. The post holder will ensure the service is delivered to a high-quality extending care and consideration to patients, staff and visitors.
Carrying out routine cleaning tasks at the scheduled time, in a specified area and in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures.
~ Emptying and disposing of domestic and clinical waste in accordance with the Trust's infection prevention and control & waste disposal policies.
~ Storing and using cleaning equipment and materials safely and efficiently and in compliance with COSHH regulations.
~ Using only approved cleaning equipment and materials in accordance with training and instructions provided.
~ Undertaking all cleaning duties in a safe manner, using PPE and hazard signs as appropriate.
~ Liaising with clinical staff in order to deliver a patient focused service.
~ Responding to any reactive cleaning requests on-site complying with infection prevention and control and/or management instruction.
~ Collecting and moving refuse including emptying, cleaning and relining waste bins with appropriate coloured liner.
~ Cleaning of sanitary areas including WC's, wash hand basins, baths, showers, sinks and sluices, floors, all surfaces, furniture and fittings
