Overview
First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our client – leaders in ground/site investigations and drilling services – to recruit a Ground Investigation Project Manager based in Oldham.
The Ground Investigation Project Manager will be responsible for delivering ground investigation services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and execute ground investigations.
* Manage contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time and profitability is maximized.
* Contribute expertise during the planning of new projects.
* Follow up on payments for completed works.
* Monitor costs related to individual contracts.
* Prepare and deliver technical reports.
* Assist the HSEQ Advisor in investigations into accidents and incidents.
* Coordinate staff allocation to projects, ensuring personnel are competent, medically fit, and properly certified.
* Maintain effective communication with clients.
* Coordinate with Directors, Engineers, and staff members.
* Build relationships with technical specialists within the company.
* Manage time effectively to balance billable and non-billable hours.
* Work with Directors to develop personal objectives.
* Participate in training and professional development.
* Contribute to business growth through geo-environmental development and networking.
* Support the maintenance and improvement of HSEQ and environmental standards.
* Monitor contractual and assurance performance.
* Keep project electronic access up to date.
* Update contract delivery KPIs.
* Stay informed about industry trends, technological advances, and political changes.
* Make decisions with commercial and business considerations to generate value.
Skills and Experience:
* Experience in ground/site investigation and drilling services.
* Site or Project Management experience.
* BSc degree (MSc preferred) in Geo-Environmental, Geo-Technical, or Earth Science disciplines.
Location: Oldham
Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 per annum DOE
