Walsall College is one of the most successful further education colleges in the country. We have a number of campuses in and around the borough of Walsall with modern facilities creating an excellent learning environment for the students we serve. We have over 850 staff, and over 12,000 people who benefit from studying a broad range of subjects including vocational and technical qualifications, apprenticeships, higher education programmes, and courses specifically designed for adults. We are looking for an experienced dynamic leader to join our college as Faculty Director - Adult Learning, to continue our journey of success and be responsible for leading Adult, Community and Tailored Learning provision. You will be an integral part of the College Senior Management Team working alongside the Assistant Principal Business Growth, Skills and Partnerships to establish a culture that promotes excellence, equity, high expectations and aspirations of all students and staff within the faculty. You will also be joining the college at a pivotal juncture as we work towards the opening of our new Adult and Community Campus in Walsall Town Centre. Who we are looking for: An outstanding leader, with the ability to be well organised and work under pressure, by providing strategic and operational leadership and management to the group of curriculum specialisms associated within the faculty. Someone who can motivate, support and encourage staff through a collaborative approach to deliver outstanding learning. A person who is highly organised, with a confident approach to decision-making, a strong sense of initiative and energy. A visionary leader committed to establishing a culture of excellence, equity, and high expectations for all students and staff within the faculty. An experienced strategic thinker capable of identifying priorities, actions and targets to guide the faculty towards outstanding performance in all areas. A proactive individual with a track record of providing operational leadership and management to curriculum specialisms, ensuring the delivery of outstanding educational provision that exceeds stakeholder expectations. What we are looking for: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement focused curriculum plans aligned with the College's strategic objectives, promoting innovation and quality improvement within the curriculum faculty. Knowledge of working with complex funding and compliance regimes Have a proven track record of curriculum innovation and development Experience in providing line management responsibility for Curriculum Managers and other direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Strong communication and networking skills, with the capacity to represent the College in external groups and provide valuable feedback to senior leadership.
