A structural and civil engineering consultancy are seeking a Building Regulations Principal Designer.\n\nYou will work both independently and as part of a team on projects across a Southern Midlands region – approximately Northern Home Counties to Birmingham.\n\nProjects include education, industrial, residential, sports and leisure.\n\nDuties include:\n\nProviding expert advice on the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations.\n\nConducting plan checks and reviewing designs for compliance with Building Regulations.\n\nAttending client and design team meetings to offer professional advice.\n\nInspecting properties and buildings at key design stages to ensure regulatory compliance.\n\nPreparing written reports (e.g., End of Design Stage Reports) and maintaining Building Regulations Trackers.\n\nLiaise with duty-holders, and other parties to ensure compliance on projects.\n\nIdentifying new business opportunities and nurturing client relationships.\n\nCollaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver high-quality project outcomes.\n\nWith assistance, contribute to and develop bid submissions and fee proposals.\n\nQualifications & Experience.\n\nA degree in a construction-related field (design-focused preferred).\n\nMembership to RICS, CABE or CIOB preferred.\n\nA strong understanding of the design and construction process.\n\nIt is likely you will have a background career in Architecture or as a CDM Principal Designer and have recently been completing projects as a Building Regulations Principal Designer.\n\nExcellent knowledge of the Building Regulations, codes and any other associated legislation.\n\nThe ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines effectively.\n\nExceptional client-facing skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.\n\nThe company are paying £50k - £55k plus pension. They are willing to support the right candidate through BRPD training and development courses
