We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate to work closely with a Warwick‑funded Research Fellow in Long Term Conditions at our Centre for Health and Clinical Research. The role involves supporting a feasibility trial of a psychological intervention for young people across four NHS ‘Complications of Excess Weight’ (CEW) clinics in the UK.
The position is fixed‑term, ending 30 April 2028, and is a part‑time, 0.8 FTE contract. You will spend roughly half of your time on campus at Glenside and may work from home the remaining days, with occasional visits to the Children’s Hospital for collaboration with research partners.
About You
* Proven track record in research and skills, and either holding or working towards a professional doctorate in health psychology or a PhD in a related subject.
* Experience in a healthcare field with young people or with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT or the DNA‑V model) is advantageous.
* Experience in project management and conducting mixed‑methods research would be particularly beneficial.
