General Manager — Jetts Hammersmith (12,000 sq ft Premium 24/7 Flagship Gym)

Jetts Hammersmith is the largest Jetts club in London and a key flagship facility within the UK network. As part of the global Jetts Fitness brand, we are known for high operational standards, strong systems, and a member-first ethos. We are recruiting an experienced and driven General Manager to lead the club, uphold exceptional standards, and deliver consistent commercial and operational performance.
This role carries significant leadership responsibility and requires a manager with strong operational discipline, commercial awareness, and the ability to uphold high standards within a flagship facility.
Your Role
As General Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of the club’s performance — including sales support, member retention, operations, and team leadership — ensuring the club consistently meets and exceeds brand standards.
This is a full-time, hands-on position requiring flexibility to support club operations, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Performance
* Lead, develop, and support a team of sales, operational, and fitness staff
* Set clear expectations, maintain high standards, and address performance issues promptly
* Recruit and onboard strong talent across all departments
* Build a professional, energetic, and accountable team culture
* Work closely with the sales team to ensure consistent commercial performance
* Take full accountability for the club’s performance, standards, and day-to-day leadership
Sales & Commercial Performance
* Support the sales function through strong leadership, visibility, and commercial understanding
* Lead by example during key sales periods, contributing to front-line activities such as calls, tours, and walk-in conversion
* Drive local marketing, outreach, and corporate engagement to support membership growth
* Monitor daily KPIs and take proactive steps to maintain performance across the club
* Ensure sales processes, service standards, and follow-up expectations are consistently upheld
* Collaborate closely with the sales team to achieve and exceed commercial targets
Operational Excellence
* Plan and manage rotas and staffing
* Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and discipline across the team
* Oversee hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation standards
* Manage class scheduling, daily operational checks, and compliance processes
* Ensure robust safety, security, and health & safety procedures
* Coordinate contractors, maintenance, audits, and stock control
Member Experience & Retention
* Maintain a strong and visible presence on the gym floor
* Ensure all members receive a warm, professional experience
* Respond promptly to member feedback and resolve issues effectively
* Implement initiatives that strengthen engagement and retention
* Ensure staff consistently deliver high service standards
Project Leadership
* Lead operational and member-focused projects from planning to completion
* Oversee facility improvements, process rollouts, and experience enhancements
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, to standard, and with strong staff engagement
About You
* At least 5 years’ management experience in fitness, leisure, or hospitality
* Proven ability to deliver strong commercial and operational results
* Experience managing teams in high-footfall, service-based environments
* Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
* Hands-on leadership style with high attention to detail
* Genuine passion for fitness and member experience
