My client, an established IT Security Consultancy, is hiring a Database Administrator to join an experienced team working on complex assignments across a range of sectors. This role involves supporting organisations with complex ICT architecture and security needs, providing database expertise, performance optimisation, and technical guidance to solve business problems.

Responsibilities
* You will work as part of a skilled team delivering database support and consultancy across multiple client environments.
* The role will involve solving database-related problems, advising on design and performance improvements, and supporting enterprise database systems.
* You will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users to deliver high-quality database solutions.
* You will be responsible for analysing database issues, supporting optimisation and performance improvements, scripting database changes where required, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and securely.
* The role will also involve working within environments that include both Linux and Windows systems and interacting with wider IT infrastructure and networking teams.
The Person
* Minimum of 2 years' DBA experience in enterprise environments using SQL or Oracle
* Experience with database design and optimisation
* Ability to analyse and solve database-related problems
* Ability to script database changes where required
* Understanding of SIEM systems
* Knowledge of Linux and Windows system maintenance
* General knowledge of IP networking
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work with technical teams and business stakeholders
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Desirable
* Experience supporting software migrations
